About this Class
Do you love pop rocks and sour peaches and cherry bombs? Do you collect snail shells and water balloons and anything cerulean blue? Did your cat explode?
Well! Curiouser and curiouser ~ You sound fabulously wonderful. Let’s share all of this in our Beautiful Beginners photography course.
Photographs are tiny windows into other worlds and minds and daydreams. They are journeys you can make to the far side of the universe and still be back in time for dinner. In our photography course we will head out on photo walks, False Creek Ferry rides and learn to really FEEL what we love and inject that into our crazy joy for taking pictures. We will explore the vibrant hood of Granville Island with its colourful factory walls and enchanting backdrops - And! stop to buy donuts at Lee donuts to explore the fun of negative space.
We will learn photography basics – composition, lighting, perspective, approach – and the thrill of capturing magical details. Oh! And! We will also create our own unique backdrops for the DIY Photo Booth and explore the world of portraits with awesome photo props.
All you need is a point and shoot camera, a pen and notebook. (I’m not sure that there are any other rules. Not ones that matter anyway!)
